It's About Time!

It's been forever since I've written on the blog but here I am again--finally. I've been able to retire this year, nurse my brother through a staph infection (with help from the hospital and a few specialists), tear my own rotator cuff, have another grandchild and learn of another on the way!  I also was able to view all Midsomer Murders episodes from day one! It's really hard to do much other than TV with only one arm!  Since retiring I've been able to return to BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) and am enjoying studying The People of Israel, part one.
The highlight of retirement is enjoying being a Grammy 100% of the time!!  Children are precious in themselves, but to hold your baby's baby is an experience like none other. You don't think you can love anyone more than your own child, but somehow, it's a love for a grandchild beyond love of any depth!  Maybe because we now have the wisdom to appreciate the value that this little person possesses and their potential and the sheer joy of watching them learn, explore and enjoy their worlds. I don't know, but my James and Laura have revolutionized my world.  In February I'll be able to hold my son's daughter Noel. Oh what a special gift Noel is after losing her sister two years ago at 37 weeks! The excitement of her arrival is too much to contain sometimes!! 36 years ago God promised me that if I found my delight in Him alone, He would give me the desires of my heart.  Well, He gives more than we can hope or imagine and grandchildren are the proof!
